A. To provide complete treatment of vein conditions, we perform laser closure, surface spider vein laser, sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy.
Q. What is laser closure of veins?
A. A tiny laser is placed in the abnormal vein, and laser energy then closes off the vein.
Q. What is sclerotherapy?
A. A chemical solution is injected into the vein which then causes it to close off over a period of time, usually weeks to months.
Q. What is surface laser therapy for spider veins?
A. A special laser delivers laser energy to the spider veins causing them to close off.
Q. What is micro-phlebectomy?
A. This involves making small 1 mm micro-incisions to remove bulging varicose veins. This allows for the best cosmetic result in the shortest time.
Q. What is ultrasound guided sclerotherapy?
A. Using an ultrasound machine, an abnormal vein is identified and chemical solution is injected to close down the vein.
Q. How do you get rid of bulging varicose veins?
A. The location and size of the varicose vein will determine treatment. Large varicose veins are removed with tiny micro-incisions which leave minimal to no scarring. This procedure is called a micro-phlebectomy. If the varicose vein is small, the vein is injected with a chemical solution to make it close down and disappear.
Q. How are spider veins treated?
A. Spider veins are treated in two ways: with surface laser treatments and with sclerotherapy (injection of solutions). Sclerotherapy involves a series of tiny injections with a medical solution that will close down the spider veins and make them fade away.
